I am an award winning, self-taught artist and creative explorer. I work in a variety of mediums and styles. While I specialize in small, detailed works and unique canvases like painted tea bags & leaves, I enjoy creating larger, more expressive pieces as well. I believe in the magic & whimsy that art brings to the world and love sharing that joy through my creations.
At present, my studio is a small space in my home with a couple of desks and a lot of art supplies. I am hoping to have a backyard shed converted into a studio at the beginning of the summer. Plans are made but my husband is deployed until May and can`t start working on it until he returns. This is the perfect reason to MAKE it happen.
I work in a variety of mediums ranging from various paints, dry media, collage work, inks, and digital illustrations. My styles vary depending on what I`m working on. Sometimes they are highly detailed landscapes, sometimes they are impressionistic works. I also can do portraits, abstracts, and goofy doodles. I have yet to find a favorite style, subject, or medium. I do specialize in smaller pieces but dabble in larger ones. My pieces often contain a sense of whimsy, magic, and wonder.
