My work brings the creativity of pottery and indoor houseplants together through beautifully designed plant pots. My ceramic journey began with a love for plants -- rooted in the belief that there is always room for one more plant -- which continues to shape both the purpose and aesthetic of my work. I use a variety of hand-building techniques and I shape each piece with an emphasis on function, form, texture and variation. I love to experiment, so no two pieces are alike!
Apex in Arvada has a community pottery studio that is a busy hub where creativity comes to life. Students of all skill levels gather to shape, experiment, and share ideas in an atmosphere that feels both inspiring and supportive. What makes this studio especially lively is its strong sense of community. Conversations flow easily, with beginners learning alongside experienced makers. There’s a constant exchange of techniques, ideas and encouragement amongst both instructors and students.
I create hand-built ceramic planters and plant-inspired pieces using a variety of shapes, textures and colorful glazes. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and is designed to bring vibrant, visual interest to ordinary houseplants.
