My work depicts the complexity of my life; where I am, what I`m feeling, what excites me. Sometimes, one painting is all I need and I move on, but when I can`t get enough, a series of work emerges and flourishes. My art is an experiment with abstraction that is grounded in representation. The process of stating anything about my art reduces it`s truth. Art has no inherent existence; it exists because you create it into a frame of reality that is meaningful to you.
I am part of the group showing at the Apex Recreation Center in Arvada.
My paintings are large acrylic and mixed media on canvas, and also watercolor on paper. My portfolio consists of a variety of subject matter and collections that include abstract and abstract expressionist paintings. I love color and my art certainly reflects this. My work is a response to my thoughts and feelings and I am moved by the complexity of abstract expression. My art is an experiment with abstraction that is grounded in representation.
