I am a spinner. I truly enjoy seeing a sheep be sheared, sorting its fleece and feeling the warmth and lanolin on my hands. The next phase is washing and carding, preparing the wool for the actual spinning. Treadling on the spinning wheel allows the fibers to twist and become yarn. Each skein reminds me of everything that contributed to it, land, weather, animal, shepherds, and time.
