"Learn the rules so you can break the rules" was first philosophized by Pablo Picasso. That is exactly my philosophy. An artist needs to be constantly learning and refining their knowledge of the Elements and Principles of Art and taking those "rules" to new and different places. Using skill and practice I strive to achieve my own individual style in my paintings.

My studio is in the living room of my home. It is about 200 square feet in size. My art will be hung throughout the house.

Cathy`s work includes acrylic and oil paintings of landscapes and flowers. There are some abstract paintings as well.
